Why Choose Us?

With so many 'arborists' popping up it can be hard to find the right company for the job. Unfortunately, some of these companies are set up without insurance so if an accident were to happen on a job there could be financial repercussions for you as a client.

  • Mundaka Tree Care has been established for 10 years. In that time we have dealt with many different types of trees
  • We offer our services to both the private and commercial sectors
  • £10 million public liability insurance
  • Extensive health and safety training
  • Risk assessments carried out on all jobs
  • Professional knowledge of the most up to date and relevant practices/tools used in the tree work industry
  • We take great pride in our work and understand the role of an arborist in the community. Our aim is maintain trees for future generations
  • Unfortunately, sometimes removal of a tree is the only option. For instance if a tree is in decline and it is overhanging a house. We always aim to replant with at least 1 tree, the more the better!
  • Each month we donate money to the charity 'carbon offset'. This initiative gets kids in schools in the area and around the country planting trees. This ensures that we plant more trees than we cut down. We also plant trees for clients too so we aim to have a positive affect on the environment.
  • We sell firewood logs from the trees we cut down. This is the most environmentally friendly way to heat your home, given the ever growing price of gas. A lot of firewood producers import their wood from eastern Europe. There are obviously many negative affects on the environment from doing this, (carbon footprint, bugs and viruses allowed into the country etc) All our wood is harvested from a 20 miles radius. We then air season our firewood for 2 years. This gets the wood to below a 20% moisture level and it is then considered ready to burn. Some people choose to use a firewood kiln to remove the moisture from the wood in a short time. There are a lot of negative environtmental effects from this process. We always aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
  • Not all trees are turned into logs. If we find an interesting piece of wood that is thought to have character in some way then we try to save it and make something of it. For example, coffee tables/shelves/bedside tables etc
  • We run 'tree giveaways' every so often where we give saplings away in the community to help raise awareness of the importance of planting native trees
  • We run giveaways on instagram, giving away random tree related products, follow us to find out more! @mundakatreecare
